: There is a growth in the incidence and prevalence of diseases in older men and specifically incontinence (urinary and/or fecal) is an entity that affects different spheres of life of these subjects. Due to systemic compromises, it requires interdisciplinary management, where the physiotherapist intervenes with exercise, to improve functionality and reduce disability. This scoopin review seeks to answer two questions: 1) what are the anatomical and functional characteristics of the male pelvic floor and 2) what are the effects of exercise in older men with incontinence. Pubmed, PEDro and Scielo database publications were reviewed using the descriptors male incontinence, exercise and physical therapy combined Boolean operators. The information was structured in three sections: Male pelvic floor; Male pelvic floor function and dysfunction; Prescription of exercise in male incontinence. The importance of physical therapist-led exercise in older men with incontinence as a cost-effective intervention method to improve functionality and quality of life was concluded.
