Introduction: Castleman’s disease is a rare condition characterized by an angiofollicular lymphoproliferative disorder. Case Report: A 59-year-old male patient presented with nonspecific abdominal pain. A CT scan revealed a mass adjacent to the right hepatic lobe and acute appendicitis. Consequently, he underwent diagnostic laparoscopy, which revealed a retroperitoneal tumor and a macroscopically normal appendix. Results: The lesion was completely resected, as was the cecal appendix; subsequent histopathology revealed acute appendicitis and hyaline-vascular Castleman’s disease. Conclusions: Unlike macroscopically normal acute appendicitis, Castleman’s disease is a very rare condition. In this case, we report the coexistence of these two conditions in a 59-year-old patient, both of which were managed via laparoscopic surgery, with a favorable outcome and follow-up showing no evidence of complications or recurrence in the patient.
