Objective: to evaluate the prevalence of sexual dysfunction in medical women, from the coffee field, during the climacteric stage. Materials and methods: An analytical and cross-sectional study of 132 female climacteric women in the main cities of the Coffee Hub between January 2013 and June 2016. An instrument was used to obtain socio-demographic data and the Index of female sexual function (IFSF). Results: the mean age in this group of women is 48,6±4,5 years (range: 42-63 years); The mean age of the menopause was 49,7±3,4 years. The average female sexual function index was 24,3; (Range: 7,0-34,2±4,8 points). 46,96% of the women had sexual dysfunction. The female sexual function index was less than 26,55 in women over 55 years of age and in those who had coital sexual activity less than once a week (p=0,0207). Desire disorder was the domain with the highest percentage for sexual dysfunction (75,0%). Orgasm was altered (59,09%) in women with exclusive coital sexual activity, and was statistically significant in relation to other types of sexual practice (p=0,00558). Pain (p=0,0174) and dissatisfaction (p=0,0002) were higher in women who did not wish to have coital sexual activity compared to those who wished. Conclusion: A high prevalence of sexual dysfunction was detected in the studied population; being sexual desire the main disorder, followed by difficulties with orgasm.
