Introdução: a doença cerebrovascular (DCV) é a terceira causa de mortalidade. Os
familiares desempenham um papel importante na sobrevivência e no enfrentamento
dessa condição. A dupla familiar-sobrevivente tem sido objeto de intervenção da
enfermagem à luz da teoria da família adaptada, e tem impacto na obtenção de resultados de adaptação positiva e/ou negativa. Objetivo: descrever as estratégias de
enfrentamento positivo e negativo utilizadas pela dupla familiar-sobrevivente de doença
cerebrovascular a partir da perspectiva teórica da família adaptada. Metodologia: foi
realizada uma revisão integrativa utilizando as bases de dados Scopus, Scielo e Pubmed, através da seguinte equação de pesquisa [(cuidadores) AND (acidente vascular
cerebral OU apoplexia) AND (adaptação) AND (enfrentamento)]. Na pesquisa inicial,
foram encontrados 350 artigos e, ao aplicar os filtros específicos, foram selecionados
25. Resultados: os fatores mais relevantes da adaptação positiva são o enfrentamento
do cuidador, especificamente a autoeficácia percebida no momento de prestar cuidados
e como isso impacta a depressão do sobrevivente. Quanto à adaptação negativa, 71%
dos cuidadores com sobrecarga geravam incerteza, o que aumenta a depressão nos
sobreviventes e afeta sua recuperação. Conclusão: as intervenções de enfermagem
focadas em conceitos teóricos da família adaptada permitem a aplicação de estratégias
de enfrentamento para melhorar a qualidade de vida e a autoestima; esta última diminui
os resultados negativos e o impacto da depressão na díade familiar-sobrevivente de
doença cerebrovascular.
