The word trauma comes from the greek meaning wound, injury and is related to a disturbance or alteration of the structure and function of one or more parts of the body that arises as a result of the action of one or more external (mechanical) injurious factors. In the wound there is continuous disruption of the skin or mucous membranes. Regarding trauma, a word that comes from the greek and that means: action of wounding, implies physical damage, injury or injury to the organs or tissues that is produced by an external mechanical action and that, in certain cases, can lead to complications Severe life-threatening secondary effects, such as head trauma. In physical child abuse by action, non-accidental force is used, aimed at hurting a minor by family members or people from the social environment.
The objective of the research was to relate the type of resulting trauma to child abuse in the historical setting. Printed and digital information from ancient civilizations and modern society was consulted.
