The nose occupies a central position and accurate diagnosis of nasal problems is the most important step and complex functional rhinoseptoplasty. The purpose of the surgical restoration of the nose is to ensure proper operation and provide harmony in the way, so that facial profile angles are relevant in the presurgical evaluation. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To analyze the characteristics of facial profile as a fundamental tool to decide the realization of functional rhinoseptoplasty in patients who come to the Rhinology Unit Otorhinolaryngology Service of the Military Hospital "Dr. Carlos Arvelo ", from January to April 2016. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A descriptive - observational cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 25 patients who voluntarily agreed to make photographic studio and Rhinomanometry. RESULTS: Prevalence female with 72% of the total sample. The predominant age group was formed by 92% of young adults. He underwent Rhinomanometry the population, showing 100% impairment (valvular factor), 80% of whom had nasofacial and modification of Nasolabial angles. DISCUSSION: The correlation between the variation of angles Nasolabial nasofacial and nasal permeability implies that the facial analysis can be considered as a tool in determining aesthetic and functional corrections, explaining the basis of functional rhinoseptoplasty.
