The beginnings of simulation in medicine can be traced back to the use of bodies to perform dissection practices, especially in anatomy. In recent decades, simulation has been increasingly accepted in clinical training, not only as element complementary but as a learning technique that has advantages in the development of skills. For the implementation of a good simulation program, the acquisition of high-tech simulators is not indispensable, since there are countless tools and strategies of low complexity that make it possible for this education methodology to be carried out. The effectiveness of each of the education methodologies is based on an adequate design of the academic program based on the needs of the students and the acquisition of knowledge. The use of simulation in medical education allows immediate educational feedback, enabling a verification of the skills of students in training and facilitating the identification of improvement and monitoring actions.
