  The number of young people in the world is greater than ever. we enter the new century with 1.7 billion people between the ages of 10-24 years (more than a quarter of the 6.6 trillion of the world's) making them the largest group.
86% of this age group living in the least developed countries Satisfying the needs of young people today is essential for a variety of policy and programs because the actions of this group of population, determine the size, health and prosperity
of the world's population in the future.
Given that the needs of young people vary tremendously, depending on the time of life in which they are and the context in which they live it is difficult to make generalizations but plans
of action adopted internationally to identify essential needs and compare progress in health and education based on agreed objectives.
