in our field, it is by that his I diagnose is of vital importance; the use of the
electrocardiogram contains a invaluable I foretell of information related to: size of heart,
deviation of segment S-T, duration of QRS and location of the infarct; this information
added to the clinical prediction, must be valued to facilitate the best option of treatment.
MATERIALS Y METHODS: A descriptive study of cross section was carried out with
based on the electrocardiographic characterization and variable populations, in 76
students between the 16-35 years of age from the faculties of medicine and psychology
of the University of Manizales, in a voluntary way.
A survey was made and it used the BIOPAC MP30 system for the electrocardiographic
characterization. We investigate on diverse demographic variables, and factors of risk
for IAM, and use system BIOPAC MP30 for its accomplishment.
RESULTS: The average age was of 22 years, 45 women, 31 men, with an IMC of 22,7
Kg/m2. The average of PAS 110mmHg, PAD 70mmHg, smokers 30.3%, drink
consumption 77.6%, consumption of psychoactive substances 13.2%, personal
antecedents: HTA 9.2%, palpitations 38.2%, thoracic pain 40.8%. Familiar antecedents:
HTA 76.3%, thoracic pain 52.6%. Electrocardiographic variables: wave P bifida 32.9%,
qRs 34.2%, sinusal rate 100%. FC average 75 LPM, supraunevenness ST 3.9%.
CONCLUSIONS: In this study not found correlation between electrocardiographic
characteristics that made possibly think about a personal IAM with familiar antecedents
of pathology cardiac due to the so short period with which counted to be made the
investigation, without possibility of making a pursuit to these patients.
