Objective: the main purpose of this study is to analyze the applied ethics as a congruent element of adverse events in private health institutions, likewise, some derived purposes that indicated the course of this investigation and allowed to reach the results were proposed. Materials and methods: the research starts from the qualitative paradigm, based on the nature of this research, taking as reference the central purpose proposed, the research design was determined, from which it describes the systematic procedure for the development of this. An analysis and categorization was carried out; additionally, it was necessary to carry out interviews that reflect the reality experienced through the key informants, which emerges from the experiences and knowledge of the interviewees. Results: during the interview, arguments were made from the perception of the interviewee, where the findings found in the study context will be described, whose elements visualize the reality experienced by the key informants and serve as an input and solid support to generate the theoretical approach about the Applied ethics as a congruent element of adverse events in private health institutions. Conclusion: the formal documents contained in the ethical platform must be coherent with the development of the actions that all health professionals must develop in the exercise of their profession, thus establishing a coherence between the institutional policies and the mission of the same. In this investigation it was revealed that the congruent element between applied ethics and adverse events is humanization.
