PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL DISEASE is presented mainly in lower extremities. It causes bimmobility and incapacity with several clinic manifestations depending on the severity of the
affected arteries. This disease is an important part of Arteriosclerosis as a metabolic and systemic illness; it does not have special respect for sex, not being the same for the factor of
race. Peripheral Arterial Disease requires careful analysis in order to be detected in its early manifestations; this makes it possible to diagnose and treat the disease more effectively.
Several diagnosis (invasive and noninvasive) methods exist; one of them is the application of ultrasound. The study of the main risk factors leads to find the arteriosclerotic illness and in the same order the Peripheral Arterial Disease.
