  Tuberculosis, one of the oldest diseases of mankind remains one of the most lethal to humans, especially in populations of low-income countries infections. According to the report of the World Health Organization, by the year 2004 more than 8.8 million people have
been infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, of which
1.8 million die each year despite the existence of a treatment and a live attenuated vaccine. It is estimated that by 2005 the number of people infected could exceed ten million taking into account the socio-economic, health and nutritional conditions tend to worsen in countries where the incidence of the disease exceeds the figure of 300 / 100,000, as is for some African countries.
