from the Manizales University participated. They were asked about the immunization state and the knowledge that they have about the vaccination scheme and the infected- contagious diseases contracted during the clinical practice; later an informative process was made to the 538 students about the complete vaccination schemes and their importance.
Results: there were ages found between the 14 and 30 years old. There wore more women with a 56.9%. The 65.7% knows the vaccination scheme, a 85.5% knows the biological risk to which they are exposed. 6.4% of the population presented any type of biological accident, form which the most frequent was a puncture with a 3.4%. Only 2% of the population has the complete vaccination scheme. Conclusions: The present study showed that there are deficiencies in the vaccination
scheme of the medicine students, and that lots of them don’t know the actual schemes and the way to handle in case of a biological accident.
