Materials and methods: A cross-sectional study made in a Public Health Services Provider Institution of Manizales (Caldas, Colombia), for a period of 3 years. The study aims to quantify and qualify the promotion and prevention actions made with pregnantwomen attending prenatal care at this institution.
Results: It’s found that the largest population served 78.9%, were between the ages of 18-34 years. The assessment most frequently performed was the obstetric, 98.4% and urine partial paraclinical, 98.8%, being opportune in 39.8%. A healthy mother was obtained in 98.8% and a healthy product in 96% of the cases. Adherence to prenatal care was 62.5%. Conclusions: It’s suggested to include in the clinical history of the Latin American
Center for Perinatology the boxes for glycemia, sicoprofilactic course and proteinuria. The boxes for streptococci and pelvic external version are never processed. Adherence
to monitoring by pregnant women (62.5%) should be increased. ASSBASALUD ESE provides quality services recognized for their presence near the community, for its well-structured organization, for having trained staff resources to meet intended goals, primarily pursuing profit and social welfare.
