Scope of the journal

The journal Archivos de Medicina is a scientific publication supported by the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manizales (Manizales, Caldas, Colombia). Its main purpose is to disseminate and discuss academic work produced by research groups and seedbeds, independent researchers, and professionals in general in the field of health sciences. It publishes research articles on scientific, social, and artistic topics related to the teaching-learning process and professional practice in all areas related to Health Sciences.  

The journal adheres to the open access movement as its editorial policy, and published articles are covered by the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND licence, which allows others to download and share their works, provided that they are given the appropriate credit, but they may not be altered in any way or used for commercial purposes. It is published continuously and is funded by the University of Manizales.

The publication is digital in PDF, XML, HTML and ePub formats. Access to its content is free and the journal does not charge authors for publication (APC policy - article processing charges).
