Scope of the journal

The journal *Archivos de Medicina* is a scientific publication supported by the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manizales (Manizales, Caldas, Colombia). Its primary purpose is to disseminate and discuss the academic work produced by research groups and networks, independent researchers, and professionals in general within the field of Health Sciences. It publishes research articles on scientific, social, and artistic topics related to the teaching-learning process and professional practice in all areas linked to the Health Sciences.

As an editorial policy, the journal adheres to the open access movement, and published articles are covered by the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND license, which allows others to download and share the works, provided that proper credit is given, but they may not alter them in any way or use them for commercial purposes. It is published biannually and is funded by the University of Manizales.

The publication is available in digital formats: PDF, XML, HTML, and ePub. Access to its content is free, and the journal does not charge authors for publication (APC Policy – article processing charges).
