role in understanding the metabolic pathways of alcohol and the different types of liver damage it causes. This study is focused on a comparison of diets, used on rats, containing saturated fat (beef tallow: medium chain triglycerides) over a model with
unsaturated fat (polyunsaturated oil and high carbohydrate contents). Unbalanced Colombian normal eating and drinking habits call for a prompt recognition and acceptance of the greatly negative effects fat and excessive alcohol consumption can bring.
