It was inquired about the age, sex and the cardiovascular risk factors, sedentarism, snuff use, hypertension, body mass index (BMI), abdominal perimeter, and diagnosis of diabetes mellitus type 2. It factors in comparison to no having risk factors according to the sex. Results: From the 566 people, the 73, 1% were women, with a mean age of 63,4 ±13,6 years. The 62, 7% had between 2 and 3 risk factors. It was found that women have a higher probability of suffering from 1 to 3 and more than 4 cardiovascular risk factors. [OR 6.81 (95% CI 2, 2-22, 1)] and [OR 17.0 (95% CI 5, 61 – 0, 9)], respectively. Conclusions:
It was found that was higher the presence of 3 or more risk factors in the female sex, encouraging to make use of effective interventions for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases (CVD).
