Condyloma acuminata have been documented since the time of Hippocrates and cutaneous warts were reported from the first century B.C. Only until the eighteenth century came to discover the nature of the warts. In 1891 Payne acknowledged that cutaneous warts could be transmitted. Heidingsfeld in 1901 described the transmission of genital warts through sexual contact (3). Ciuffo in 1907 established the viral etiology of human warts. The first papillomavirus was granted asylum by R. Shope in rabbits in 1933 (4) In 1949, Strauss et al. isolated the responsible agent of warts, human papilloma virus and since this time has been widely recognized as a human pathogen
