The use of Tight Glycemic Control has been known to reduce mortality in critically ill patients at the and SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit). Recent studies developed at MICU (Medical Intensive Care Units) also demonstrated benefit effects at the clinical settings of severe sepsis and septic shock.
The objective of this paper is to make a summary about the Insulin function, the positive effects of the normal glycemic level in the patogenesys of protrombotic states of the septic shock.
