Resumen
Las estrategias de afrontamiento desempeñan un rol en la protección del bienestar, por ello se identificó la presencia de indicadores del Trastorno de Estrés Postraumático (TEPT)y el uso de estrategias de afrontamiento en estudiantes de psicología. El estudio es de diseño no experimental de observación transversal con muestra intencional, no probabilística por cuotas, con participación de 60 estudiantes de psicología. El 40% de la población evaluada presenta TEPT y los estilos de afrontamiento que se emplean con mayor relevancia son la religión, la evitación emocional, la reacción agresiva y apoyo social. No se encuentra relación significativa entre el diagnóstico de TEPT y las variables sexo y estilo de afrontamiento. Se concluye que el sexo del estudiante y el estilo de afrontamiento no presentan una asociación con el diagnóstico de TEPT.
