Atividade física e saúde mental em estudantes universitários na cidade de Bogotá, Colômbia, durante a pandemia da COVID-19

Introdução: a interação entre baixos níveis de atividade física e problemas de saúde mental acentuou-se durante a pandemia de COVID-19 em estudantes universitários, portanto, é necessário medir e analisar a relação desses fatores para estabelecer um ponto de partida na abordagem da intervenção estratégias.
Objetivo: analisar o nível de prática de atividade física na comunidade de estudantes de graduação da Fundação Universitária de Ciências da Saúde (FUCS) e sua relação com o estado de saúde mental durante o período da pandemia de COVID-19.
Métodos:estudo tipo descritivo transversal. Amostra não probabilística de 389 estudantes dos cursos de Fisioterapia e Psicologia. Os níveis de atividade física foram avaliados por meio do Questionário Internacional de Atividade Física (IPAQ-SF), e a Escala de Medição de Depressão, Ansiedade e Estresse (DASS-21) foi utilizada para o estado de saúde mental. Os resultados são apresentados através de medidas de tendência central, dispersão e correlações estatísticas.
Resultados: foram reali-zadas 389 medições, entre estudantes de Fisioterapia (64%) e Psicologia (36%). O nível de prática de atividade física foi de alta intensidade (9,4%), intensidade moderada (54,4%) e baixa intensidade (36,6%). Nos resultados de saúde mental, o nível de estresse esteve presente em 66,9%, a depressão em 64% e a ansiedade em 75% dos entrevistados. A correlação de Spearman mais negativa (-0,106) foi obtida entre dias de atividade física moderada e ansiedade.
Conclusões: diferen-tes investigações relataram que a prática de atividade física reduz problemas de saúde mental, porém, o que foi encontrado nesta investigação sugere que apenas a prática de atividade física intensa (dias e minutos por semana) e moderada (dias por semana) parecem para reduzir os níveis de ansiedade, estresse e depressão. Os resultados não são significativos, por isso sugere-se expandir a pesquisa para outras faculdades, para obter números que promovam a implementação de pro-gramas que reduzam alterações na saúde mental utilizando a prática de atividade física como fator de proteção.
