used the questionnaire for Self-concept Form 5 (AF5); the hypotheses to work were two: Students are not significantly different in all dimensions of self-concept evaluated,
according to their level of training, and students are not significantly different in all dimensions of self-concept evaluated, according to their genres. Results: we did not observe significant differences when we compared the means of the different domains of the self-concepts for the same semester; but we did find out that the students of both genres who are in the last semesters have averages that are statistically higher those
of the students who are in the first semester, in the labor and academic self-concept. Conclusions: the research showed the need to standardize the questionnaire for Self-concept Form 5 (AF5), in the Colombian university students.
