Double Blind Assessment

All the articles postulated to be published in the Revista Tempus Psicológico go through an editorial evaluation that determines the originality, thematic relevance and adherence to quality standards established by the Journal.

The phases of the process are the following:

Once the manuscripts are received, they will be reviewed by the Editorial Board, which receives the first concept from the Editorial Coordinator. This concept includes

-Review with the anti-plagiarism software provided by the University of Manizales.

-Verification of compliance with the formal minimums related to the structure of the article, both for the parts of the research product articles and for the review articles.

-First reading of the article to ensure compliance with minimum standards of grammar and syntax that allow an adequate evaluation process.

Based on the report of the Editorial Coordinator and the complementary processes deemed necessary, the Editorial Board will decide whether or not the article meets the conditions to continue with the evaluation process. This decision will be communicated to the author(s), who will be asked to send the completed forms on conflict of interest, ORCID of the Authors, commitment to originality and waiver of sending the article to other publications, while the process is taking place. evaluation and publication in the journal Tempus Psicológico.

Once the formats duly completed by the authors have been received, the article will be sent to the external evaluators, so that they can carry out the double-blind review process based on the formats provided by the Tempus Psicológico Journal that are attached at the end of this document.

In case of discrepancy in the result of the evaluations, the Editor of the Magazine will decide on this situation. It will be understood, then, that in these cases the decision to publish the works is the exclusive and unappealable competence of the Editor.

As a support tool, the Editor may send the article to a third referee, who will serve as an external criterion to support his final decision. An unfavorable evaluation may be a criterion for the definitive rejection of the article and a favorable opinion of the third evaluator may be an element to be taken into account in favor of the publication of the article, which, in any case, will remain at the discretion of the Editor of the Journal.

The criteria established by the journal for the evaluation of the articles are those that appear explicit in the formats that we attach below:
