O comportamento suicida é um grave problema de saúde pública, motivado por diversos fatores de risco que incluem aspectos genéticos, psicológicos, sociais e culturais. O objetivo do estudo é analisar a literatura específica destes fatores para tentativas de suicídio no Brasil. Trata-se, portanto, de uma revisão sistemática sobre este tema. Os dados foram coletados nas principais bases de dados a partir dos seguintes descritores: “fatores associados e de risco”; “tentativa de suicídio e suicídio”; “Brasil”. Os resultados demonstraram que os fatores apresentados pela literatura mundial também estão em sua maioria presentes no Brasil. Os estudos com fatores associados e de risco para o comportamento suicida podem colaborar com programas de intervenção para grupos específicos, mas estes ainda são escassos no Brasil e são necessárias novas pesquisas que abordem esta temática.
