Se presenta el modelo BEAR (Berkeley Evaluation and Assessment Research) de diseño de instrumentos de medición y sus componentes con base a la lectura de la segunda edición del libro de Mark Wilson (2023), de la Universidad de Berkley. Se enfatiza el modelo por sus facilidades al unir los conceptos teóricos con el modelo psicométrico de medición y las posibilidades que representa para el diseño de instrumentos apropiados generando inferencias correctas cuando se trata de recolectar evidencia sobre los rasgos psicológicos, comportamentales, actitudinales y de habilidad. Se discute los pasos del proceso y se presentan interrogantes sobre las potencialidades del modelo fuera del supuesto de la Unidimensionalidad.
