Journal Plumilla Educativa
Double-Blind Review
All articles submitted for publication in the Revista Plumilla Educativa undergo an editorial evaluation process that determines originality, thematic relevance, and adherence to the quality standards established by the Journal.
The stages of the process are as follows:
Once the manuscripts are received, they will be reviewed by the Editorial Board, which receives the initial assessment from the Editorial Coordinator. This assessment includes:
Based on the Editorial Coordinator’s report and any complementary processes deemed necessary, the Editorial Board will decide whether or not the article meets the conditions to continue in the evaluation process. This decision will be communicated to the author(s), who will be asked to submit completed forms regarding conflict of interest, Authors’ ORCID, originality commitment, and agreement not to submit the article to other publications while it is undergoing evaluation and publication processes in Revista Plumilla Educativa.
Once the forms have been properly completed and submitted by the authors, the article will be sent to external reviewers so they may conduct the double-blind peer review process based on the evaluation forms established by Revista Plumilla Educativa, attached at the end of this document.
In the event of discrepancies in the evaluation results, the Journal Editor will resolve the situation. Therefore, in such cases, the decision regarding publication of the manuscripts shall be the exclusive and non-appealable responsibility of the Editor.
As a support mechanism, the Editor may send the article to a third reviewer, whose evaluation will serve as an external criterion to support the final decision. An unfavorable evaluation may constitute grounds for the definitive rejection of the article, while a favorable opinion from the third reviewer may be considered in favor of publication; however, the final decision shall remain at the discretion of the Journal Editor.
The criteria established by the journal for the evaluation of articles are those explicitly stated in the evaluation forms attached below:
