Una Educación confinada en el racionalismo instrumental

A cultural impulse, the one with a universal nature, in the decades leading up to the 2020 Pandemic, that has led us to create explanations, also raises an anachronistic, decontextualized, counterintuitive education without major controversy in our time, if you will. This erects conceptual and universal barriers to survive the terror of the uncertainty by shielding the emotional balance with rational logic and putting it in check by the arbitrary randomness.

Even if human life is livable only to the extent that we assume a series of useful lies as true, a university cannot remain indifferent, it cannot shut itself up in its prerogatives, nor take refuge in an ascetic conception of knowledge full of euphemisms, language plots, and cognitive shortcuts, despite discoveries in neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, among other disciplines. It must be an activist and provocative one since both the challenge and the dilemma are what is real. This article writes in Pereira, Colombia, is an irreverent, heterodox reflection, a conversation that delves into the issues of a neocortexian education, as far as the author's incompetence allows.
