The process of the education on Medicine, and specially in the area of General Surgery, has based traditionally the construction of the knowledge on the all-powerful and authoritarian labor of a teacher without allowing in the majority of the times, an active
participation of the student. The following article of reflection, tries to do a description of the different ways of approaching
