Open Access policy

The journal Archivos de Medicina (Manizales) has endorsed the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), whose declaration and guidelines aim to make access to research free and available to anyone with Internet access and to promote advances in science, medicine, and health.

Furthermore, the journal Archivos de Medicina (Manizales) participates in the I4OC (Initiative for Open Citations), which is a collaboration among academic publishers, researchers, and other stakeholders to promote unrestricted availability of academic citation data. The references cited in the journal are included in Crossref as open metadata. 

As part of its editorial policy, the journal adheres to the open access movement, and published articles will be covered by the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND license (which allows others to download and share the works with others as long as they provide credit, but prohibits any modifications or commercial use).
