Marketing strategies for all academic programs contibute efficiently in the pursuing of proposed goals. Every single and developed strategy specifically aids the general purpose of the
promoting and informing work areas; all this work leads to a 100% sucess. It is important to continue the present work, influencing employees about good customer service; being this
approach a strong point applied in Universidad de Manizales. It is known that the media becomes an effective mean to reach the public, making it therefore necessary to reinforce the
advertising work for all academic programs and the University´s corporate image.
33% of the students of this Medical School are from Manizales and its surroundings; 66% come fron other states. It is interesting to highligth that students in the second percentage come fron Armenia, 12%, Pereira, 8%, Ibague, 4% , Bogotá, 2%, and Cali, 2%; all these cities have medical schools. Our Medical School was chosen by 32% of the students due to its academic level, and 15% for the effective employment of time throughout the whole degree plan. 61% of the students graded the University´s image as “good” and 27% as “excellent”, it is important to mention that a 49% reported that the quality of the program is good.
The fact that program has no official accreditation yet was not an obstacle for 84% of the students. 94% of them stated that this Medicla Program will contribute positively in their employment activities. According to the adpating process to the Medical School, for 43% it has been excellent, and 60% defined it as good. 64% continue with high expectations to be accepted
in this program. The biggest impact for the students, once in the Medical School, has been its good quality, the attention given to them, and the academic level was favorable for 12% ot them.
Although 65% reported tha the least pleasant factor has been the space, classrooms ant the location. 67% considered as excellent, the chosen program, and 40% eulogized it.
