El DOPPLER DE ARTERIA OFTALMICA COMO METODO ELECTIVO PARA PREDICCION DE PREECLAMPSIA DOPPLER DE ARTERIA OFTALMICA COMO METODO ELECTIVO PARA PREDICCION DE PREECLAMPSIA

Resumen

Antecedentes: La arteria oftálmica es la primera rama de la arteria carótida interna. Sale justo distal al seno cavernoso. La arteria oftálmica es un vaso de fácil acceso para la evaluación Doppler que proporciona información sobre la circulación intracraneal menos accesible. La preeclampsia es un trastorno hipertensivo en el embarazo relacionado con el 2% al 8% de las complicaciones relacionadas con el embarazo en todo el mundo.


Metodología: Se realizó una revisión narrativa a través de diversas bases de datos de enero de 2014 a enero de 2022; la búsqueda y selección de artículos fue llevada a cabo en revistas indexadas en idioma inglés. Se utilizaron como palabras clave: Doppler, Arteria, Oftálmica, Predicción, Preeclampsia.


Resultados: La arteria carótida interna, se divide en unas ramas, siendo la primera la arteria oftálmica. A nivel oftálmico, en mujeres con preeclampsia, se ha registrado una disminución en la impedancia al flujo y un aumento en la velocidad en la forma de onda de la velocidad del flujo desde la arteria oftálmicas. Se ha identificado que entre la semana 11 a la 14, y entre la 20 a la 28, los pacientes que desarrollan preeclampsia, presentan un incremento en el segundo PSV, en comparación de pacientes en embarazo sin afectación. Otro de los parámetros evaluados en el Doppler de la arteria oftálmica es la velocidad mesodiastolica máxima.


Conclusiones: La presente revisión ofrece información actualizada y detallada sobre la predicción de la preeclampsia a través del método electivo Doppler de arteria oftálmica.
