Este artículo examina la relación entre las capacidades dinámicas (CD) y la innovación, temática que, aunque ha generado un creciente interés en el ámbito empresarial y en la literatura científica, se evidencia una brecha sobre el análisis de la estructura intelectual del conocimiento en dicha relación. El objetivo de este documento consistió en mapear dicha estructura e identificar las tendencias de investigación en torno al tema mediante un análisis bibliométrico. Utilizando la metodología del Árbol de la Ciencia, se realizó un análisis de la literatura disponible en Scopus y Web of Science. Los hallazgos revelan una clara relación entre el uso y fomento de las CD para un mayor rendimiento innovador corporativo, lo que, en la práctica, conlleva priorizar el desarrollo de CD en la estrategia empresarial, facilitando su alineación con los objetivos globales de sostenibilidad y así, mejorar su ventaja competitiva en un mercado volátil.
