The present article pretends to reveal the meanings of the practice and discourse around the formation of the teachers in Antioquia. In behalf of the education regarding to the citizenship and peacebuilding. To do this, a cualitative methodology was proposed while a rigorous documentary review was made about all the literature that was close enough to the epistemic aim in this research. Among the main findings it was recognized the followings: the protagonic role of the teacher as the one who invites the dialogue, the importance of the formation in politics and human rights which it is highly important for the contemporaneous teachers. Thus, the necessity to design and generate the best ambience towards teaching-learning process; in pursuit of cultivating the critical thinking. In addition to, it is necessary for the contemporary school to design and generate the accurate scenarios towards the peacebuilding from the classroom.
