Prior to publication, the article is, firstly, reviewed by the editorial committee. It analyzes whether the topic addressed in the text conforms to the journal’s areas of interest, whether there are grammatical errors, and whether the proposals are made coherently and connectedly. In addition, before being sent to the double-blind evaluation process, articles are reviewed by way of the unicheck platform, so as to avoid similarities to and plagiarism of other academic work.
Following this review, the article is submitted to a careful adjudication by recognized specialists from different fields of knowledge. It is evaluated by at least two peers, in double-blind form, and is published if positive concepts are received from both evaluators.
In the case that one evaluator rejects the article during the evaluation process, it is sent to a third evaluator, who produces an additional concept, with which the publication decision is made.
Evaluations are provided by experts as follows:
A manuscript which is approved with modifications is returned to the author(s) so that necessary adjustments can be made, followed by resubmission to the peer evaluator for final review, and new emission of concept.
