This article aims to analyze the factors that affect the quality of service in the restaurant sector of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, to strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty, the methodological orientation is non-experimental, transectional design and Correlational scope, through confirmatory factor analysis, the main results being that the response capacity, security, reliability, empathy and tangibility are the factors that indicate the quality of service in the restaurant sector, playing an important role in the Puerto Vallarta economy, however, has had problems, due to external situations, which has caused the closure of many establishments, in this situation restaurant entrepreneurs were forced to make strategic decisions to strengthen and develop a competitive advantage , to continue remaining in a competitive market d Where customers have more alternatives to consume.
