This article describes how the cocaine farmers from Caqueta came together and found in the cultivation of cocoa a profitable alternative, for the substitution of ilicit crops and the environmental care. Legally, they are constituted as the association of Cacao, Timber and Fruit Producers of the North Zone of the Department of Caquetá -ACAMAFRUT, composed of 19 territorial committees. Methodologically, techniques and instruments of information collection were used, such as the documentary review and the interview, which was analyzed with the qualitative Atlas.ti. This by categories and families of categories. It was identified that the main motivation of associates to leave illicit crops is the harmony, social and family stability generated by legal crops.
