This article presents a reflection on the female figure in crime fiction or noir fiction (noir roman) and its possible incidence as a political figure in the genre. and its current participation. This reflection is presented, in the first place,
from a brief history of the noir fiction genre; then, the women’s participation is described; finally, its political implications are addressed from fiction. It is concluded that the feminine element does not bring special changes to the classic elements of the noir fiction genre; but rather the way in which they are approached and reflected by the character: detective, victim or witness, and the political interpretations derived from it.
