Business Intelligence System as a decision making support in the human capital management

Sistema de Inteligencia de Negocio como apoyo a las decisiones en Gestión de Capital Humano

The changes that have taken place at the global economic, political and technological level have increased business interest in issues related to Human Capital Management, a factor that has to be considered the most important asset in institutions. In this context, it is essential to develop mechanisms that allow efficient management of information about the employees of the organization. This research presents the development of a computer tool to support decision making in the field of human resources in one of the nickel industries in Cuba, using Business Intelligence techniques. As part of this project, an analysis of the elements of Business Intelligence was carried out, emphasizing the methodologies and tools available in the market for the implementation of this type of solutions. The results obtained are valued positively by the company as well as by experts.
