Model development and transportation plans requires great amount of information that comes generally from to the fulfillment of capacity, national and local indicators review and the origin and the destination household surveys application. However, the elaboration of transportation models with coverage, variables and the quality which planning processes require, demand great efforts for both researchers and the high economic resources investment. These tend to limit the frequency with which has to be carried out at least every 10 years. The following work describes the methodologies, participants, instruments, as well as the benefits and limitations when using technology, WiFi, GPS, CDR, around the complexity to collect mobility data, in order to reduce costs and suggested times
