Educational policies contribute to the improvement of the qua- lity of education when considering the multidimensional approach. The present article exposes from the perspective of complex thin- king, multiple factors that affect the quality of middle education. The relationships between the quality of the middle education, measured through the results of the Pruebas Saber, and the pre- sence of the factors in the educational policies of seven regions of Colombia (Arauca, Cauca, Chocó, Guaviare, Nariño, Santander and Valle del Cauca). And some elements for the design of strategies are exposed to consider in educational policies the multiple factors that affect the quality of education.
