This article analyzes the media and sound treatment of gender violence in podcasts, aiming to evaluate how elements of radio language, such as music, sound effects, and silences, are used to address this social issue. Through a qualitative content analysis, the media strategies employed are identified, and the impact of sound resources on the narrative of the selected podcasts is assessed. The results show that, while some products effectively use these elements to raise audience awareness, most present weaknesses in their sound treatment, limiting the depth of the message and the ability to generate empathy. Additionally, the relevance of tone of voice and interpretation in presenting information is identified. Finally, guidelines are proposed to optimize the sound production of podcasts addressing gender violence, in order to enhance the listening experience, promote a better understanding of the topic, and contribute to the fight against this form of violence.
