This paper explores the relationship between the media and memory in the context of armed conflict. It carries out a content analysis of 34 digital piecesn from the press media El Tiempo, El Espectador, El Colombiano, El Universal, and Semana Magazine on the commemoration of the 20-year El Salado Massacre.
It aims to answer the questions: How do you remember what happened? So, how is it named? Moreover, what actors and social institutions are mentioned
and what type of responsibility is attributed to it? And what kind of aspects is it made? Emphasis on the construction of memory? The analysis was carried out at two different levels. First, a descriptive level to characterize the journalistic format and the multimedia resources used in the informative pieces, seeking
to have elements to be able to correlate variables and build inferences about the use of these resources and their possible discursive, thematic, and semiotic intentions related to the type of memory that It seeks to build on the original fact from this reconstruction.
