As an object of reflection, this article approaches the film The Cave within the sub-genre Found footage. A parallel is made with Plato’s allegory of the cave from a story centered on inhumanity and the prevalence of basic instincts. Through the subjective camera and unstable shots, the story of a group of young people who vacation and disappear inside a cave is addressed.
