Within the cinematographic subgenre Found Footage and tragic cinema, this work reflects on about the movie Cloverfield which focuses on the review of elements such as: modes of representation,
verisimilitude and intertexts, and highlights others such as tragedy, death and monstrosity.
A dramatic narrative is highlighted where the love, in a monstrous attack that destroys the city of New York is a pretext to mobilize the story.
