The study on the State of the Art of the investigations in Communication in the program of Social Communication and Journalism of the University of Manizales, in the quinquennium 1998-2003, addressed three conceptual axes from the proposal of communication models by (Ángel, 2011), as categories of analysis or communication paradigms: transmissionist, discursive and constructionist. This article shows the results, in the framework of qualitative studies and the basis of the documentary review, based on the analysis Critic of Discourse (A.C.D.). We worked with a corpus made up of 20 investigations with only two of them published. In the five-year period analyzed there is a tendency to favor the transmission model in research
