This article reviews the current situation of the conflict of rights between
the right to information and the right to be forgotten in Colombia. On the basis
of a review of the concepts and arguments most determining the different
cases in which these rights came into conflict and which led to the issuance of
final court judgements on this question, a meta-legal perspective is proposed
to resolve this conflict. From a journalistic perspective, it is proposed as a possible solution to the confrontation of rights, the adoption by the media and journalists of an editorial attitude that contemplates the informative completeness
in the covering of judicial cases, as a responsible journalistic conduct against
information that can prevent future contradictions between the application of
the right to be forgotten and the right to information.
