In order to think about the springs of road cinema in the present century, this text analyzes the film Mad Max Fury Road by director Miller, an exponent of this particular genre. Your basic question may well be how to get in and out of road cinema through a poetics associated with speed, turbulence, (false) nomadism? From a film that makes the route disappear, the mutation of the genre associated with other sub-genres (futurism, science fiction, action, etc.) in a post-apocalyptic world is reviewed. It is a sabotage to the highway since this is not the trip but its effect; paradoxically, a road movie without a road.
