The research has as objective to develop an Ontology for the process of evaluation and selection of human capital in the nickel industry in Moa. The purpose is to study the key and useful concepts that exist in said process, such as the cargo profiles and their main characteristics; to define how these are structured and how they should be related to labor competencies. For the implementation and development of the Ontology, the steps of the methodology proposed and designed by Stanford University were followed; using as tools the protégé ontology editor in its version 3.2.1 and the reasoned for the development of expert systems CLIPS in version 6.24. With the implementation of the Ontology it was possible to formulate an exhaustive and rigorous conceptual scheme with the purpose of facilitating the communication and the sharing of the information between different systems. These systems can be elaborated with the purpose of mitigating substantially the slowness and irregularities existing in the evaluation and selection process, granting speed, reliability and organization to it.
