Guide for authors, Plumilla Educativa
In general terms, the journal accepts accepted texts that address the following topics in relation to Education: Educational Theories; Education-Technology; Didactic; Education-Subject; Education-Ethics; Esthetic Education; Education-environment; Pedagogy; Curriculum Educational policies; Literature-training; Philosophy-formation; Life-training stories; Adult education; or others of scientific interest that revolve around the educable subject. The texts are classified as:
- Scientific or technological research article. Text that presents, in a detailed manner, the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: Introduction, Methodology, Results and Conclusions.
- Reflection article. Text that presents results derived from a finished investigation, from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources.
- Review article. Text resulting from a completed research where the results of other research, published or not, are analyzed, systematized and integrated on a field of science or technology, in order to account for the advances and development trends. It is characterized by presenting a careful bibliographic review of at least 30 references.
- Short article. Concise text that presents preliminary or partial original results of a scientific or technological research, which usually require an early dissemination.
- Case report. Text that accounts for the results of a study on a particular situation in order to publicize the technical and methodological experiences considered in a specific case. It includes a systematic review of the literature on analogous cases.
- Review of the topic. Text that shows the result of the critical review of the literature on a particular issue.
Conditions of the texts:
- The work must be original and unpublished, no longer than eight thousand words with space, including references and information about the author(s). Before publication, it will be evaluated by three members of the Scientific-Editorial Committee, who may make suggestions for revision and improvement in the preparation of a new version. For the definitive publication of an article, the approval of at least two of them is required, as well as having been evaluated and approved by two double-blind peer readers.
- The document will conform to the following format:
- Arial letter 12, simple line spacing
- Title of the article in bold and lowercase, in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
- Keywords in Spanish and translated into English and Portuguese, 5 maximums.
- First and last names of the author (s) with alienation on the left. In Foot of note the following data. Last academic training and where, place of work, ORCID. Name of the counselor of the thesis, place and date of the investigation, and email.
- Abstract or abstract of the article in Spanish, English and Portuguese, with a maximum length of 150 words.
- Except, the information of the authors, should not have footers, all content must go within the body of the article.
- The length of the text can not exceed 8,000 words.Titles and subtitles are in bold and lowercase.
- References. Minimum 25. (References are the authors cited within the article)
- Citation rules: APA. In any case, the latest edition of these rules.
Ethical-legal responsibilities
- The journal Plumilla Educativa does not accept previously published material. The authors are responsible for obtaining the appropriate permits to partially reproduce material (text, tables or figures) of other publications and to quote their origin correctly.
- The list of signing authors should include only those people who have contributed intellectually to the development of the work.
- The Revista Plumilla journal expects the authors to declare any commercial association that may imply a conflict of interest in connection with the submitted article.
- The authors should mention in the methods section that the procedures used in the samplings and controls have been carried out after obtaining an informed consent, which in no case was information obtained in violation of legal norms.
- A sheet signed by all the authors authorizing the Revista Plumilla that reserves the right to introduce the modifications it considers appropriate in the application of these standards will be attached to the article, which will be duly reported. The originals sent will not be returned.
- The author transfers the rights to Educational Plum to be published or presented in other academic scenarios.
- Its publication will be biannual, June and December, therefore, texts are received throughout the year.
- Note Five is the maximum number of participants per article.
- Participants accept that when submitting an article to a contest, if approved, the journal may publish them in both physical and electronic media.
- The Plumilla Educativa Journal will reserve the right to decide that it will be published, which will be notified to the interested parties in writing, either electronically or on paper.
