Water consumption in Mexico is the eighth largest in the
world, mainly due to the size of the population (11th most populated
country). This article shows how to apply artificial intelligence for
the control of irrigation systems in agricultural areas of Mexico,
this improves its operation by controlling the output of water from
which the smart system manipulates the irrigators according to
the needs which requires each part of the crop. The processes
used in the automated irrigation systems face a unique problem,
they have not been improved for the optimal use of this vital liquid,
making an unnecessary expenditure of it, these sectors are divided
in Mexico in agricultural sector, private sector and public sector.
At present, in Mexico there is no software or process similar to
the Magros intelligent irrigation system, which using electrovalves
from vision sensors, offers a relevant solution.
